It is that time of the year again…in a few days, we will be celebrating Christmas in the USA and some other parts of the world. But while children eagerly anticipate receiving their Christmas gifts, hoping to get the toys they really wanted this year; older people might be experiencing stress, not just the stress of hosting the dinner party or flying to meet with family members and friends, but also the stress, maybe anxiety and nervousness about having to interact with certain relatives, the kind of relatives (or co-workers) that you dread having to spend time with. SETTING THE INTENTION TO HEAL: CLOSE YOUR EYES AND PLACE YOUR HAND ON THE MIDDLE OF YOUR CHEST (YOUR HEART CENTER) AND TAKE 3 SLOW HEALING BREATHS IN AND OUT. NOW TAP AND SAY ALOUD (IF POSSIBLE) :
IT IS MY INTENTION TO REDUCE MY STRESS, MY ANXIETY AND NERVOUSNESS. I DESERVE TO FEEL PEACEFUL IN MY MINDANDBODY SO I CAN ENJOY THIS CELEBRATION! RIGHT HERE. RIGHT NOW, I KNOW AND I FEEL THAT I AM SAFE!!! RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW, I AM TELLING MY INNER CHILD THAT I AM PROTECTING HER/HIM RIGHT NOW. THERE IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF. I INTEND TO REMAIN AT PEACE NO MATTER WHAT MAY ARISE DURING THE DAY!!!
Rate the intensity of your emotion on a scale of 0-10 (SUDS Rating-Subjective Units of Distress)
10 meaning – your highest intensity (I feel terrible
0 meaning – no intensity at all (I feel happy) * Remember to drink water before and during tapping

Even though I am so stressed out just thinking that I have to see (fill in the blank). I feel the same way at every reunion. I just cannot relax and I feel very upset. But I deeply and completely love, honor and respect myself and I am open to the possibility that I can allow myself to relax now. What if I can begin to feel safe now?
Even though I feel so overwhelmed and anxious when I am surrounded by my (toxic relatives or co-workers?) They are always criticizing me, always making fun of me, putting me down. It is always the same story, I am tired of being treated like this. I still deeply and profoundly love, accept and honor myself. What if I learn to establish healthy boundaries around me and my inner child? I recognize today, that I am not a little kid anymore, I have grown up and I have more resources now, I respect myself and I deserve to be treated with respect wherever I go.
Even though I am so stressed and nervous, anticipating that I have to spend time with some of my toxic relatives or (co-workers?) I deeply and completely love, accept and respect myself and I am allowing myself to relax now. I know now that I deserve to feel my best. I deserve to feel grounded, peaceful and serene.
Now tap on the following energy points while repeating your negative reminder phrases: If possible tap on both sides of the face and body. (Use 3 or 4 fingers of one hand to tap on the energy points)

COLLARBONE. I FEEL ALL OF THIS TENSION IN MY SHOULDERS… I CANNOT RELAX!
UNDER ARM: WHAT AM I SO AFRAID OF?
CROWN OF HEAD: IT IS ALWAYS THE SAME STORY, THEY MAKE FUN OF ME, THEY CRITICIZE ME…
BEGINNING OF EYEBROW: I JUST CANNOT STAND THEM. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?
SIDE OF EYE: ALL OF THIS STRESS AND EVERYTHING THAT IS CAUSING THIS…
UNDER EYE: ALL OF THIS STRESS AND OVERWHELM AND MY REACTION TO THEM…
UNDER NOSE: ALL OF MY ANXIETY AND EVERYTHING THAT IS CAUSING IT…
UNDER MOUTH: ALL MY ANXIETY AND NERVOUSNESS AND MY REACTION TO THEM…

Take a slow healing breath in and out and release all of your stress and anxiety from your mindandbody.
How do you feel? Rate your emotional intensity level on a scale of 0-10, do several rounds until your intensity is down to ZERO
Now tap REFRAMING AND POSITIVE CHOICES on each of the following energy points:

Put your hand on the middle of your chest (your heart center) and tap while repeating aloud:
Remember that we want to establish a connection between our mind and our heart because we want to live a heart centered life!
