“How You Can Use EFT to Reduce Work Anxiety”

Are you like most people that dread the end of their weekend?  Does your energy begin to go down Sunday Night with the sheer anticipation that Monday morning you have to go back to work?

And as Monday arises-  just thinking that you may be spending time with people that do not inspire you and that you don’t like- you begin to fear what lays ahead of you…  Do you agree that it is normal to feel nervous from time to time? 

However, what can happen to you if you are suffering this nervousness and anxiety every day that you are going to school or work?  Can you imagine how this unresolved nervousness and anxiety is affecting your health?  This ongoing work  anxiety could cause some symptoms such as:

  • Fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Muscle Tension
  • Body ache                              
  • Restlessness
  • Depression
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Feeling disrespected at the work place

Now let me ask you a personal question.  Can you think of other symptoms that you ever suffered due to your work situation?

Tap 7 to 10 times on your  karate chop point  (side of hand) or on your favorite point and say:

“I have the intention to reduce my anxiety about going to work today!  I intend to feel better.

Rate the intensity of your emotion on a scale of 0-10 (SUDS  Rating-Subjective Units of Distress)

10 meaning – your highest intensity (I feel terrible)

0 meaning  – no intensity at all  (I feel happy)  Remember to drink water before and during tapping

While rubbing the sore spot on your chest or tapping the karate chop point of either hand (7-10 times) Repeat the following EFT Phrases aloud:


Even though there is no way around this,  I have to go to work (school or whatever situation you are fearing) and am really anxious, I am nervous, I am going to see so and so, and they surely know how to make my life miserable.  I am O.K. and I accept the fact that I am having this problem

Even though I am not looking forward to going to work, I get so stressed out, I don’t like the people there, they make my day hard,  I deeply love and accept myself anyway

Even though  there is so much negativity around me, I hate going there.  Because the more time I spend with them, the angrier I become.  They just drag me down with them.  I accept myself and I forgive myself for feeling this way

Even though it is so frustrating for me to go there and I am tired of fearing my day,  I deeply and completely accept myself and I choose to let go of this frustration and this fear and replace them with eagerness to start my day, and with a joyful anticipation of good things to come

Even though I have all this anxiety about my day, I want to release it completely.   From now on, I want to be in complete control of my emotions.  I deserve to be calm, centered and balanced

Now tap on the following energy points while repeating your negative reminder phrases:  If possible tap on both sides of the face and body. (Use 3 or 4 fingers of one hand to tap on the energy points)

Crown of head: I am so anxious about going to work

Beginning of eyebrow:  I an feeling this nervousness

Side of eye: Those people really know how to make my life miserable

Under eye:  This stress is overwhelming me

Under nose: There is so much negativity around me

Under mouth: They are dragging me down with them

Collarbone: And they are making feel angry and frustrated

Under arm: I think I am giving away my power

Crown of head: After all,  I am suffering this anxiety because of them!

Take a slow healing breath in and out and dissolve this anxiety, let it go completely.    Release it  from your mind and body!

How do you feel?

Rate your emotional intensity level on a scale of 0-10, do several rounds until your intensity is down to ZERO.

Now tap REFRAMING AND POSITIVE CHOICES on each of the following energy points:

Crown of head: What if I could let go of this anxiety?

Beginning of eyebrow:  Wouldn’t it be wonderful if I let go of this nervousness?

Side of eye:  From now on,  whatever they say or do, does not hurt me anymore

Under eye:  They do not have any power over the way that I feel

Under nose: I am learning to release this stress

Under mouth:  And I am transforming it into tranquility

Collarbone:  I do want to be calm and balanced

Under arm: They can keep their negativity.  It is their problem, not mine

Crown of head: I for my part, want to find the best in every situation

Beginning of eyebrow:  I am looking for the gold in everyone

Side of eye:  I am validating everyone for the good work that they do

Under eye:  And I am attracting people and situations that are positive and fun

Under nose:  I am reclaiming my power

Under mouth:  And I am letting go of this anger

Collarbone:  And this frustration

Under arm:  And I am transforming them into peace  and optimism

Crown of head:  Finally, I am giving my mind and body permission to let go of this anxiety because I do deserve to feel calm and relaxed!

Take a slow healing breath in and out and relax your mind and body!

    Comment: Mr, Howell’s YouTube vid “EFT FOR WORK ANXIETY.mp4” about Sunday evening work anxiety was magnificent. I could care less about the tapping, but his words were exactly what job-stressed people need to say every day if necessary. His words perfectly described the dread that millions of workers feel every Sunday, ruining what should be the beautiful sunset of the weekend, and in fact the first day of the week–a new beginning. Instead of tapping, I’ll be prostrate praying (Middle East style) and/or using exercise dumbells, calisthenics, stretching, yoga, etc. while repeating or listening to his beautifully crafted truth along with words from The Holy Book.
