I want to share Maria’s case history with you, to help you be aware of the many transformational possibilities that EFT offers you.  I was just beginning to learn the basics of EFT, and it was the first time that I offered EFT to a stranger, and Maria’s results were so amazing.  What was also amazing was her dedication to applying EFT to her issues.  She really wanted to be healthy and pain-free. Maria’s case became one of my first testimonies.

Here is Maria’s story…

As I was reading through my case histories, I found the story of Maria.  This story happened many years ago and it was significant to me because what transpired that day at her Mexican restaurant was the fuel that I needed to keep going with EFT to heal all the multiple and complex aspects related to the chronic illness that I had been suffering for 14 years.

You see, I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I was very sick and living in a perpetual state of desperation and hopelessness.

Can you imagine feeling that you are dying inside day and night while raising young children?  Even more, my husband and I had already spent thousands of dollars trying to find a cure.

That is why I was so incredulous when I found that I could download The Original  EFT Manual by Gary Craig, for free and that I could practice EFT on me to see if it worked before I dived into the serious study of these amazing techniques.

The truth is that while I was finding resolution to many traumatic childhood issues and specific life events,I did not experience a fantastic dissipation of pain like it happened to Maria in just one session.

But this is what happened that day:  Maria’s husband came to our table, with a sad look on his face and told us that he was thinking of selling his restaurant because his wife had been suffering this tremendous pain in her feet for some time.  She couldn’t stand and cook for very long due to the severity of the pain.  She had already gone to the UCD Med Center in California, and after lots of testing, the doctors acknowledged her physical pain, but could not diagnose her condition.  Maria spent thousands of dollars at the Med Center without getting any relief.  In desperation, she went to Mexico, to seek medical help, again she did not get any favorable results.  While in Mexico, she also tried magnet therapy, but it too did not help.

After listening to him, my husband and I decided to offer her an EFT session right there and then.

Maria accepted, but I could see that she was not comfortable, there were many people at the restaurant, but we found a secluded corner. I asked her questions and then I guided her using what used to be called “The Basic Recipe” including the 9 gamut procedure, which includes performing 9 different actions while tapping the Gamut point continuously.

So we tapped: (One phrase at a time)

“Even though I have all this stress in my body, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

“Even though my feet hurt so much, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

“Even though I cannot stand on my feet, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

“Even though I am so sick, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

“Even though the doctors can’t help me, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

“Even though my husband wants me to get a job at Kaiser so I can get medical insurance, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

“Even though I get angry at my husband, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

“Even though I feel that my husband should work at Kaiser and not me, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

We worked for an hour and at the end of the session, Maria stood up, she kept trying to find the pain, but there was no pain! She was amazed. She then told us, that her headache had disappeared too! We didn’t even know she had a headache. All the pain had disappeared from her body. Maria was really happy. She said; “I am so grateful and I believe that you were sent to me by God.”

Later, when we got home, I sent her a copy of the 9 gamut technique in Spanish and I told her to tap every day on every single event, issue and emotion that makes her upset, including her husband, and the stress and tiredness that she feels working at the restaurant. I also told her about the importance of being persistent and to be as specific as possible.

Maria’s husband kept making plans to sell the restaurant because he could not operate it without her and it was his belief that his wife’s pain would return.

But Maria was persistent, and after a few months, she reported to us that: “I am happy to tell you that I did my EFT treatments every day before going to work until I felt confident that the pain was completely gone.” Several years later Maria told me that “I continue to be pain-free. I am so grateful and I believe that you were sent to me by God.”

By the way, Maria and her husband kept their restaurant for several more years.
