Why do we need to maintain an appreciative attitude?
Imagine for a moment…. You know someone who expressed a loving concern for you in the past, someone who went out of his way to help you. Imagine now that you are writing a letter to him telling him how you feel, letting him know how grateful you are.
When you finish writing your letter, you will experience an increase of positive emotions and well-being. Of course, the person who receives your letter will also experience positive feelings.
You probably agree that today we are all overwhelmed with difficulties. We live in a hectic world and we go from one activity to the next, trying to take care of everything, and it is a challenge to feel appreciation.
As EFT Coaches, we are so convinced that expressing appreciation is so beneficial for you and we highly recommend it to clients.
During our tapping exercises, we include A GRATITUDE PROCESS, suggesting to clients to write a gratitude list for three weeks, tap their gratitude affirmations on the energy points, and then come back to their notes and notice how much they have changed. Some people have reported that they feel happier and more forgiving. It seems that manifesting appreciation for the small and big things in our lives, helps us to feel fully alive and mindfully present in our daily activities.

SETTING THE INTENTION TO HEAL:
Tap 7 to 10 times on Crown of head, or karate chop point (side of hand) or on your favorite point and say:
I have the intention to express my appreciation
I intend to show my gratitude today.
Rate the emotional intensity of your problem on a scale of 0-10 (SUDS RATNG-SUBJECTIVE UNITS OF DISTRESS)
10 meaning-your highest intensity (I feel terrible)
0 meaning-no intensity at all (Ifeel happy)
Drink water, remove cellular
Note: Remember that these EFT Phrases will trigger your own memories and emotions, if you agree to tap, you are also agreeing to take full responsibility for yourself. If you remember events or an emotion comes up, write them down and then tap them away until you do not feel an emotional intensity. You deserve complete peace, so keep tapping, keep tapping.
While rubbing the sore spot on your chest or tapping the karate chop point of either hand (7-10 times) Repeat the following EFT Phrases aloud:
EFT SET UP PHRASES
Even though I feel overwhelmed by all my problems, I appreciate myself and I accept the fact that I am having this conflict.
Even though everything is going wrong right now, I choose to notice that there are some things in my life that are “right” and I appreciate and accept myself the way I am.
Even though I feel that they do not do enough for me, I recognize that they are doing what they can and I appreciate myself and them too.
Even though I am so sick, how do you expect me to focus on something good? I deeply and completely love and appreciate myself and I know that there are some parts of my body that still feel good and I am grateful for that.
Now tap on the following energy points while repeating your negative reminder phrases: If possible tap on both sides of the face and body. (Use 3 or 4 fingers of one hand to tap on the energy points)
Crown of head: I am overwhelmed by all my problems
Beginning of eyebrow: Everything is going wrong right now
Side of eye: I feel that they do not do enough for me
Under eye: I am very very sick!
Under nose: How do you expect me to express appreciation?
Chin: I keep focusing on the negative side of my life
Collarbone: I feel so overwhelmed …
Under arm: It is so hard to notice what is good and beautiful around me
Crown of head: Maybe, I really don’t want to be grateful, life is too hard!
Take a slow healing breath in and out and release your feeling of overwhelmed. Release them from your mind and body!
How do you feel?
Rate your emotional intensity level on a scale of 0-10, do several rounds until your intensity is down to ZERO.
Now tap REFRAMING AND POSITIVE CHOICES on each of the following energy points:
Crown of head: What if I could relax just a little bit?
Beginning of eyebrow: I choose to focus on positive solutions to my problems
Side of eye: I am expressing appreciation for what they do rather than complaining about the things they don’t do
Under eye: I appreciate and love the parts of my body that still feel good!
Under nose: I recognize that my body is wonderfully made and I love it completely!
Chin: I appreciate the fact that I am already healing!
Collarbone: I am in the process of learning how to express gratitude
Under arm: I am beginning to notice the good things around me
Crown of head: I am appreciating my life, I am happy to be alive and I want to live each day to my fullest potential!
Make your hand into a fist and tap on the middle of your chest (Your heart center)
I am thankful for my wonderful mind and body!
I appreciate my family and my friends
I choose to feel grateful because it helps me to feel good!
I am allowing my mind and body to be infused with the healing energy of love and appreciation
I choose to feel really grateful for all the prosperity in my life
I am grateful because I recognize that my body was created with the ability of healing itself
I am grateful because I am connected to Divine Love
I appreciate that now that I am embracing gratitude, it is easier for me to be healthier, happier and more successful!
